Auditions are being held for the chance for young performers to take the stage alongside pantomime stars this Christmas. As Crewe Lyceum prepares to bring Beauty and the Beast to town this festive season, talented youngsters aged between 9-16 are being invited to perform on stage in the Junior Ensemble alongside Jenny Ryan, Malcolm Lord and Ste Johnston in December. Crewe Lyceum hosts the current leg of the UK tour of the famous ghost story 'The Woman In Black'. Based on Susan Hill's 1983 gothic horror story, the stage play has been adapted by Stephen Mallatratt and directed by Robin Herford and tells the chilling tale of a spectre which haunts a small English town. It has been adapted several times, including the 2012 film starring Daniel Radcliffe. The creative team behind new Helen Forrester play By The Waters Of Liverpool have released the first cast images during rehearsals and in costume. By The Waters Of Liverpool Autumn 2023 UK Tour will run for eight weeks visiting 13 venues across the country. The show opens at Crewe Lyceum next week and runs from Monday 18 – Tuesday 19 September. The tour opens in two weeks on Monday 4 September 2023 at The Auditorium at M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool before travelling round the country.
