With just a few weeks away Congleton Players are now well into rehearsals with their first play of the 2022/2023 season “Blackadder II” and it’s a cracker.Blackadder II first hit our TV screens on BBC some 36 years ago and is set during the reign of Elizabeth I. Congleton Players have been busy over the past few months rehearsing their latest production at Daneside Theatre, Congleton and it promises to be one not to be missed.Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s classic detective tale “The Hound of the Baskervilles” has been given a fun-filled, farcical overhaul by the acclaimed comedy theatre company Peepolykus and has been described as “a zany, farcical and fast paced production bursting with gags and laughter”.
