Stoke Rep Players are proud to present Dirty Laundry, written by local playwright Deborah McAndrew, co-founder of Claybody Theatre. The production forms part of Stoke-on-Trent’s centenary celebrations, highlighting its connection to local history.
The play is set in the heart of 1950s Stoke-on-Trent and weaves a compelling tale of secrets, intrigue and family legacy. In a small terraced house, Nora tends to her sick father, Reuben. His fevered ramblings reveal the name ‘Emeline’ — a mystery that unravels as unexpected visitors arrive, forcing long-buried secrets to the surface. Against the backdrop of an industrial city grappling with pollution and change, the play explores themes of environmental impact, human health and the power of truth. Dirty Laundry combines historical insight with a suspenseful narrative, inviting audiences to reflect on the choices that shape communities and lives.
The show runs at Stoke Rep Theatre from Tuesday 10 to Saturday 14 June 2025 at 7:30pm each evening, with a matinée performance at 2:30pm on the Saturday.
Tickets for all performances are available online from stokerep.co.uk, direct from the Players Box Office (01782 209784), or by email from [email protected]. Evening tickets are £15.50 and matinée tickets are £12.50. Concessions are £11.00.
